1948 Born in Czechoslovakia
1967 Shortly after his graduation he emigrated to the USA
1970 He started to work as a makeup artist and as an assistant for fashion photographers (Horst P. Horst, Glaviano, Castel, Fallai, Nadir, Malerbi)
and for magazines Vogue, Bazaar, Donna, Seventeen, Madmaselle, Elle etc.
1984 Started to work as a freelance photographer in New York, Paris
and in Milan
1990 Returned to Czechoslovakia, Prague
1996- 99 He worked as a creative director for the Czech edition of Elle
1999 Returned to freelancing
