The Supreme Burgrave´s House of Prague Castle

Gallery Elliot Erwitt

The exhibition is comprised by black and white images – snaps, where the hands represent subconscious gestures, drama, humour as well as sorrow. The retrospective is a selection of 60 pictures Elliott Erwitt chose for our gallery. Images from 1953 up to 2001 showing the world of Elliott Erwitt.

Elliott Erwitt was awarded „The Lifetime Achievement Award“ by the Leica Galleries of New York, Tokyo, Prague, Vienna and Solms. The international touring exhibition „Magic Hands“ has been arranged to celebrate this occasion.

His characteristic wit and spontaneity are well represented by this display of black and white images. Elliott Erwitt can make you laugh out with an absurd juxtaposition, or capture life’s melancholy in a moment. This exhibition will stay with you long way after you have left our gallery.
