The photographer Andrej Balco is represented by Leica Gallery Prague
Born on 25 September 1973, he lives in the Slovak Republic in the town of Pezinok. In 1998 he passed his Master´s studies at the Social Work Faculty of Trnava University, in 2010 he obtained a Master’s degree in the photography field at Institute of Creative Photography in Opava.
He won a credit at a Photography Festival 2009 in Lodz, and in a photographic competition Fresh M.I.L.K. in Auckland (New Zealand). He is the winner in the Czech Press Photo 2007 contest in the portrait category, he won several times an appreciation in FRAME and MIO PHOTO AWARDS (Japan). Andrej Balco has had separate exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. He has taken also part in group exhibitions in Hungary, the Netherlands, and Austria. In 2008 he exhibited his collection Domésticas in the Leica Gallery Prague and published a publication Domésticas.
